Frequently Asked Questions
What curriculum do you follow?
We follow the Learning Without Tears curriculum.
What is your immunization policy?
Each child's immunization records must be up to date by the first day of school. Each child must have an updated health form signed by a licensed Virginia physician, as well as a medical release form on file.
My child has a severe food allergy. How will this be handled?
Our priority is the safety and well-being of all children within our care. We are a peanut-free facility. If you have a question about another allergy, let the director know. We will work with you to ensure the safety of your child.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No. Your child does not need to be potty trained. We have a diaper changing station in the women's restroom equipped with gloves, diapers, and wipes.
How does information get disseminated to the parents?
We realize you can't be with your child every moment. However, we know you enjoy keeping up with their learning while they are at preschool. We want to create topics for conversations with your children by giving you information on things they have learned throughout the day. Each classroom teacher distributes a monthly calendar that includes themes and activities for each day. The director sends a weekly email to the parents letting them know how the classes are going. Our facebook page is updated daily with pictures from the different classes. Any take home flyers or projects are placed in their individual cubbies at the entrance of their classroom.
May I take a tour?
Yes. Weekday tours during the school year are available Tuesdays-Fridays from 9:00am-12:00pm. No appointment necessary. We have an open door policy. If you are interested in scheduling a tour after hours or during the summer, email us.
Do you have any openings?
